10.1 Kothar Deep Earth

Description

A device worn on the head that allows the user to control multiple robots simultaneously. Developed by KDE to maximize the efficiency of remote mining operations. Users would be placed in a cold room and sit in a reclined chair with the Proxy Conduit attached while they control robots faraway in a mine. While the Proxy Conduit was in use, the user’s perception of the outside world would be fully blocked out while they become “one” with the robots they control, as if they are controlling the robots like their own body parts. Early uses of this only resulted in migraines, however in the following 3 years all users would develop brain damage and pass away. It was discontinued as a result, but became the basis for the Mecha project’s conjoined AI feature.
