Faction
Description
A dead man’s switch in the form of a bomb implanted into a person’s body that is set to explode if the person experiences physical violence, torture or death. It was used by a whistleblower employee at Telconnect Global after he exposed that the company was selling the personal data of civilians to foreign intelligence agencies. The whistleblower was captured by Telconnect agents, but they could not physically hurt him due to the bomb. Instead, Telconnect managed to track down his family who had been sent overseas for safety. With his family held hostage, the whistleblower had no choice but to reveal how he managed to leak confidential information. Telconnect then killed him in the Shunt from a far distance so that no infrastructure or people would be harmed, except for the whistleblower of course.
