The Area
An enormous structure that circles the entire city. Cameras line every inch of its surface, with armed Simulants patrolling the ground around it. The bottom of The Wall is constructed of steel, and continues down into the earth for tens of meters. The upper half of the wall is constructed from concrete, several meters thick. The top of the wall has a gangway where armed Simulants also patrol. The Wall serves as a barrier between the entire city of New Damascus and the The Pacific Ocean. It was constructed to stave off the flooding that would be induced by rising sea levels, keeping the citizens of New Damascus safe, but more importantly, it’s mine. Due to it’s importance in protecting the companies mine and research centres, The Wall was the first part of the city to be constructed. Kothar Deep Earth established a perimeter around the Tritanite deposit and, after its construction, the city began to grow. The immense water pressure held back by The Wall necessitated that no mechanical parts could be used in its construction, and as such there are no points of entry or exit anywhere on the structure.
The Inhabitants
No humans are permitted access to The Wall. The area is entirely patrolled and operated by heavily armed Simulants - the same models as those that inhabit The HQ. The areas surround the wall, however, provide for some of the wealthiest locales in the city. Surveillance in these areas is 24/7 and home to political and corporate elite.
